Hastings Deering is seeking an Application Advisor to join our Technology Support team. In this role, you will provide high‑quality technical support across key technologies while contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role with core business hours of 9.30 am – 5.30 pm.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to internal and external customers across Minestar, Product Link, VisionLink and other construction technology solutions.
- Record, triage and resolve service requests within the Cherwell Service Management (CSM) platform.
- Maintain the Configuration Management Database and support core ITIL-based service processes including Incident, Change, Problem, Access, Knowledge, Release and Request Management.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, Caterpillar SMEs and third‑party providers to investigate issues and identify root causes.
- Assist with CSM configuration, testing, dashboard development and reporting.
- Support solution design, process improvements and commercial bid development initiatives.
What you’ll need:
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management best practice.
- A high level of problem‑solving ability and customer-service focus.
- Experience working with CSM or similar ITSM tools.
- Confidence working both independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability in application troubleshooting and incident triage, with the ability to assess, prioritise and resolve application issues efficiently.
- Strong application troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify root causes and prioritise issues in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven experience in diagnosing technical issues, assessing impact and urgency, and escalating appropriately when required.

- Experience with Caterpillar construction technology products and services (VisionLink, Cat Grade etc) – highly desirable
